Real saffron tastes aromatically tart, bittersweet to spicy and gives dishes a beautiful bright yellow color. Saffron is very valuable and is used both for sweet dishes and for curries, sauces and rice dishes to color and refine the taste. To achieve an intense colour, soak real saffron in a little warm water for a while, or, depending on the dish, finely grate with sugar or salt and then add.
